To hit two shots like that is exactly why I play the game.

Matt Wallace picked up a second European Tour title of his career with a play-off victory at the Hero Indian Open.

He shared the lead going into the final day and a round of 68 took him into a play-off with Andrew Johnston.

After a powerful drive down the par five 18, Matt landed his second shot 10 feet from the flag and two putts were enough to secure the trophy.

It comes 10 months after his breakthrough win at the Open de Portugal and Matt moves up to 94 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

“I'm ecstatic. I just played some amazing golf," Matt said. "'Beef' really had a great round today because I was playing fantastically well and thought I might have been a few more clear.

“I hit some really good shots in that play-off. I pumped it down there on the last and it went a long way and then the four iron went even further than I thought it would so I was jacked up a bit. To hit two shots like that is exactly why I play the game.

“With the people that were coming up behind me, there were some real class players. Beef's putt on the last should have gone in and it's just been my day today.

“There are some great champions. SSP (Chawrasia) held it for a couple of years there and I am so happy to get my name on the trophy.”

Following George Coetzee's Tshwane Open win, it was a second successive victory for an ISM player.

Matthias Schwab ended the week with a share of fourth place, his best finish on the European Tour moving the promising young Austrian up to 420 in the world, while Clement Sordet shared 12th place.

Louis Oosthuizen was tied for 16th place at the Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour.
