Investec has become synonymous with sport through their long term support of various events and teams, and I am delighted to become an ambassador for their title sponsorship of Test Match cricket
Investec, the specialist bank and asset manager, has signed England Test cricketer Stuart Broad as a brand ambassador.
Stuart, who is an integral member of England’s test and one day teams, as well as being captain of the T20 side will be at the forefront of Investec’s cricket activity.
In November 2011, Investec signed the longest sponsorship agreement in the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) history.
Following this summer’s test series against the West Indies and South Africa, there will be three home Ashes Test series against Australia in 2013, 2015 and 2019, and major tours by India in 2014 and 2018, Pakistan in 2016 and South Africa in 2017.
Raymond van Niekerk, Global Marketing Director of Investec, said: "One of the many draws of Test cricket for us was the admirable qualities of the players themselves and Stuart epitomises the modern day test match cricketer.
"He is intelligent, athletic, competitive and carries many skills which allow him to change the game whether with bat, ball or in the field. Stuart is and will be crucial to the success of the England side for years to come and we are delighted that he has agreed to become a brand ambassador for Investec.”
The partnership with Stuart will help drive Investec’s brand awareness and business development as part of their cricket sponsorship.
Stuart said: "Investec has become synonymous with sport through their long term support of various events and teams, and I am delighted to become an ambassador for their title sponsorship of Test Match cricket.
"They have an extremely well respected track record in sponsorship whether it be the Investec Derby Festival or the GB women’s hockey team and I look forward to helping them build a long-term and productive partnership with the pinnacle of our sport, Test Match cricket."
